The Libya National team crises has reach its crescendo with the report of their Head coach quiting his job just 4 days to the 1st leg of a doubleheader encounter against the Super Eagles of Nigeria. The embattled coach, Adel Amrouche left the training camp in Tunisia amidst different reports.

In one report, it claims that a section of the senior figure in the National team were pressing for the sacking of the Belgian-Algerian coach due to what they called "random coaching."
Other sources close to the Libya Football Federation's Chairman Jamal Al-Jaafari denied such a request, saying Amrouche was upset at the delay of his salary payment and he went to Tunisia to solve the issue.

However, the man in the centre of the controversy has come out to clear the air. He was quoted by Libyan newspaper outlet 'The Libyan Observer' saying "the Libya Football Federation (LFF) is very negligent and has not paid him for six months now, pointing fingers at players and his Libyan assistant Omar Al-Maryami saying he was mistreated along with his Algerian assistants, who have been refused
payments by the LFF - telling him to pay them himself".

Libya will play Nigeria on October 13 in Godswill Akpabio stadium, Uyo as part of the third round qualifiers of Group E of Cameroon 2019 AFCON. The 2nd leg is scheduled to take place in Tunisia in a yet to be named venue as security issues and political crises ongoing in Libya still prevents the North Africa country to host any high profile match in the country.
Libyan Omar Al-Miryami, an Assistant to Amroushe, has been tipped to lead the charge for the home and away matches against Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the Algerian-Belgian coach Adil Amroush had tried to convince the LFF to
play the home game against Nigeria in Algeria instead of Tunisia, in order to gain public support in his country and to benefit from the support of the Algerian public to Libya but the wish was turned down as the LFF made preference for Tunisia ahead of Algeria.

The Mediterranean Knights of Libya are top of the group E AFCON qualification group  with 4 points after 2 rounds of matches. They whitewashed Seychelles 5-1 and went to Durban to secure a vital point against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa who had earlier in the opening round of matches shocked Nigeria with famous 2-0 defeat in front of their home crowd.

Adel Amorouche had boasted to beat home and away in an interview with the journalist immediately after the Mediterranean Knights secured a goalless draw in South Africa. Accusing Nigeria of "relying on voodoo' as the diabolical means of winning matches.

The Libya team is having a somewhat strange program schedule line up for the match against Nigeria. They're expected to arrive Nigeria a day to the match, train on Uyo stadium turf same day, play against Super Eagles on Saturday and depart for Tunisia immediately after the game. It sounds like a cogent plan for a team on a mission though buy whatever the plan may be it's incumbent in Gernot Rohr to ensure he neutralize the plot and give Nigeria the desire result they hope for.
